As a liberal I am pro-hunting. My brother-in-law hunts, as does his family. It's deer season here and i think that since i eat meat that i should get my hands dirty, field-dressing a deer. I think everyone should know where their food comes from, and how to cook it. I don't know that i'd raise my own chickens but i've seen people do it and their chickens were in their yards eating grass and bugs. I don't know if i have the right tools to cut my deer down into steaks and a roast, but i'd try. I have Cutco knives close to hand.
I shop at Whole Foods. I prefer that my food not be full of antibiotics, hormones high-fructose corn syrup and saline solutions. I think that the meat available at Walmart is of mediocre quality, I know it's not cheap to shop at Whole Foods in Hinsdale Illinois, but the quality is worth the time cash and effort it takes to get there. I'd shop at a Whole Foods Indiana if they weren't in the vicinity of Indianapolis.
