Keith versus Bristol: a few more words

I am sure that it must be hard to have had a child either during high school or immediately after,  however I am taking Keith Olbermann's side on this one.

I am sure that Bristol is a good mom..... but this is bigger than any family and must be addressed.

That commercial was lame.  Although it was slghtly amusing I felt it failed to provide a useful messgae.

Abstinence is bloody difficult for humans.   It is ridiculous to set yourself up as a spokeswoman for abstinence when you have a child. It is still more ridiculous that the abstinence-only crew relies on ignorance and misinformation to scare people into not having sex.    It is shameful that these people refuse to use the brains and intellect that would have been a gift from their God.   It is disgusting, what i hear about condoms, from the Vatican and Benedict.    All rational people should reject such crap.   It is ok to use condoms. It is not a sin to take care of your health and well-being.
It is appalling that there are children in a wealthy nation like this,  with scientific research discovering new knowledge and creating new ideas,  who do not know how their bodies work and that fluids and blood from intravenous drips are somehow "eaten."

Marriage is not a magical process that makes a person instantly responsible, nice. thrifty, and hard working form the minute that they say "I do. "  Marriage is also not a remedy for ignorance, mental illness nor douchebaggery.

I can say right now that it's been more than a year since i have been with a man.  I miss him like crazy.  I am hoping to see him when I go to Florida in January.   But it is much more important to me that i not hurt him and not be disloyal.    I don't want to hurt a good man and friend. It's been almost three years that he's been in my life and i am glad he's there.
